I am a PhD student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Rochester. My research interests are broadly spread over quantum thermodynamics and quantum optics and I am being advised by Prof. Gabriel Landi.

I absolutely love spending my time playing chess, though I must admit, I often find myself getting outmaneuvered by my opponents. Table tennis is another fun activity, even though I haven't quite mastered it, but hey, it's all about the thrill, right?

One of my favorite ways to unwind is by taking a quiet stroll in the woods. The peacefulness and connection with nature are simply priceless. I adore beaches; they are like little pieces of paradise! The sound of waves crashing and the feel of sand between my toes are simply delightful. Whenever I get a chance, I hop on trains and embark on new adventures. There's a sense of nostalgia and charm in train journeys that I can't resist.

Simulation games are my guilty pleasure. I get lost in their virtual worlds. Designing is another passion of mine and web development is a hobby I frequently indulge in. I love getting creative and turning ideas into something tangible. I thoroughly enjoy the process of building and crafting things online.

I consider myself a student forever. Feel free to email me if you want to get in touch. I find it nice to meet new people!

With extensive tweaks to customize the UI to my liking, I built this site using the starter theme tailwind-nextjs-starter-blog developed by Timothy Lin. Under the hood, it uses next.js framework with styling from Tailwind CSS and hosted on the Vercel platform. I am using Source Pro Serif for serif, IBM Plex Sans for sans, and JetBrains Mono for monospace.

The site has been optimized to a great extent to keep it lightweight, and I am content that its carbon emissions are better than over 90% of the tested sites out there (source: Website Carbon).
